Newer, with a 1940s silhouette and it is spectacular. Seriously. My favorite shade of green in a nubby tweed, matching tweed buttons, nipped waist, button accented pockets, fully lined with green acetate. Tweed has flecks of blue, orange, and cream. Skirt is knee length. Shoulders are padded, collar rounded.

Ann Taylor was founded in Connecticut in 1954 by Richard Liebeskind, and named after a best selling dress from his father’s store. He chose the name because Ann was a very ‘New England’ (rich white lady?!) name and Taylor evoked tailoring for a classic upscale women’s apparel appeal. The brand expanding to include Lou and Grey, Ann Taylor Loft, Ann Taylor Factory Stores, and Loft Outlet along with online sales under Ann Taylor and Ann Taylor Loft, becoming Ann, Inc. Ann Inc was acquired in 2015 by Ascena Retail Group for $2.16 billion.

Fashion at The RetroFab is second hand vintage, newer, and new with tags. There may be slight imperfections, which will be noted in description. We believe in SLOW FASHION around here.
