Amancio Ortega opened the first Zara store in Spain in 1975. The store was initially named Zorba after Zorba the Greek, but a nearby bar had the same name, so they redubbed it Zara. Initially they focused on copycat fashions, but eventually created their own manufacturing chains, streamlining the process. They’re one of the first ‘fast fashion’ companies. They can take a product from design to shelves in one week, and they turn products around in lightening speed, pulling whatever doesn’t sell within one week on shelves. They manufacture their products in their own factories in Spain, so the entire process from design to retail is contained within the company.

Fashions at The RetroFab are quality vintage, newer, and new with tags. There may be small flaws, which will be detailed in the descriptions. We believe in SLOW FASHION around these parts!
