At 21, Bella Cabakoff become the youngest buyer for the Lazarus Department Store Chain in Columbus, Ohio. She worked with Lazarus for 20 years, opening a retail store named Leslies with her husband Henry Wexler in 1951. In 1963 Wexler borrowed $5000 from his aunt and $5000 from a bank to open a store for the younger woman named The Limited. The brand expanded, and in 1969 they went public. They were listed on the New York Stock Exchange in 1982. They acquired Victoria’s Secret, Lerner’s, Abercrombie and Fitch, and Layne Bryant. Spin off brands include Bath and Body Works and Limited Too. Limited Brands controlling interests were sold to Sun Capital Partners in 2007, but the brand went bankrupt and shuttered all stores in 2017. The brand has been revived online by Sycamore Partners.

Fashions from The RetroFab are second hand vintage, like new, or new with tags, and they may have some small flaws which will be noted in the description. We believe in SLOW FASHION around these parts.
